The South Texas Winter Retreat returns January 2019!

The South Texas Student Ministry Collective is excited to announce this year's annual Winter Retreat! We hope you and your middle and high school students will join us January 18-21 as we walk through Colossians 3:12-17 and learn what it has to teach the followers of Christ about living out our faith "In The Everyday."

When: January 18-21, 2019 (MLK Weekend) Where: Camp Zephyr (151 FM 3162, Sandia, TX 78383)

Theme: In The Everyday: Finding God in the Familiar (Colossians 3:12-17)

Who: All 6th-12th Graders who have the desire to deepen their relationships with Christ by moving from knowing Christ to following Christ. Cost: $175 Registration: Email Brendan Burge to receive a registration form customized to your group. Closes January 4. Questions: All questions can be sent to Brendan Burge, the facilitator for the STSMC (brendan.burge@coker.org)

Our Heart

The South Texas Student Ministry Collective is a group of Student Ministry leaders that desire to see Christ glorified in the lives of students throughout the South Texas area. We do this through student events and resourcing youth leaders in whatever ways possible. For more information about the STSMC contact Brendan Burge at brendan.burge@coker.org.

Our Speaker

Rev. Zach Fleming is the Associate Pastor at McPherson Free Methodist Church in McPherson, KS. Zach is a 15 year youth ministry veteran who also serves as the Adjunct Professor of Student Ministry at Central Christian College of Kansas. Zach's love for and leadership of his students have lead hundreds of students to deeper faith and understanding, and has inspired several in their personal calls to ministry.

Our Theme

This weekend we will seek to teach and give practical ideas and resources to students to see and understand that God has created us and our world to follow him and see him at work in the “everyday-ness” and familiarity of life. When we see the underlying nature of humanity and creation, we see that it is all created and purposed by God and is fulfilled in relationship with him.
